Its surprising how all things come back to the very stance one starts.

I took off from work to support my ailing dad. I spent a year and more to nurse and just be their for him as he was for me throughout his time.
I speculated as i had exposure and expertise i could get back and join any company after some 3 months. It was not destined. !!

I had to be with him till his demise last month.

I guess i was determined but lacked the confidence.

I was searching to satisfy my vanity. I fell at my face.

I need to rethink for New challenges. TRUE and thats when i started this blog. Though not an actual BLOG!!

Blogs are more than this spordic jottings.

Completed One Big Circle. And still pondering what i need to do with the rest 50 - 60 % of my life.

First things first, STOP looking for a change and actively searching for a Job. WHY?? Plain and simple, i need to switch off and take a break and just internalize my thinking and my methods, i suppose.

Secondly, Start an Line of Work which would supplement my style of working and that too in a different working Indusrty or even a change of profession

Lets do this for a month. I can clearly visualize that this would revitalize me just like one releases all the toxins from the body and soul.
Finally i know what i need and what to do.

One needs to jot down what one has done, what he/she has acheived, complie its SWOT, do an Balance scorecard, know your poke yuke, and finally craft your project schedule except its an life schedule.

The smarter one is in this line, gets the oppurtunity.

Is it right or justified.

Thier are many who are great but need a push, a shove, a nudge, a pat, a jolt, shower, to get up again and reach new fathoms of success and achieve them with a flourish.

The old wisdom passed from the Teacher to student has got mirked with commercialism, economics, starta, religion, creed and status.
Cannot a teacher strive to only pas on the wisdom for the furture generations to come. Why does not a parent provide the sustanence to the teacher to help and provide for inorder the teacher does his / her best.

GREED.
Greed for material wealth, sustained luxury, higher welth gains, the ever lasting greed for MORE, MORE, MORE.

The FIRST CHALLENGE :

1. Stop the URGE. Clamp your desire, Hold on to your Needs.

Make a list of the essentials. Match if they comprehend with your collegues, partners, children, parents, teachers, community.

You would be appalled !!
I wonder one would be also reading ahead or till here.

Hi Jeff and everyone,

I hope you all are not suffering too much from the recession. I am mainly doing private tuition now, and that is going well at the moment. In fact, I'm making more from it, as I deal with some clients direct rather than thru an agency.

It's good to see the site still active - I will get involved again when things get quieter.

Good luck to you all, Mark

Sorry to hear about your Dad's demise, Atul. I understand what you are going through, and the immediate feeling of vacuum and loss of anchorage.

Don't think any less of yourself as you reassemble the bits and pieces of your career & life. The value that we seem to command is more a reflection of our alignment with current trends and fashions. It is not absolute, neither is it real.

The real value of an individual is unfortunately not appreciated except in the case of a miniscule proportion of individuals, who have attained a stature and command a sizeable network of friends or followers. And, as individuals, we are too caught up in the morass of our daily ramblings to objectively evaluate where we stand.

Keep writing and do keep yourself occupied in something creative.

You didn't ask for suggestions, but I have one:

Find something or volunteer for something that requires physical labor (not back-braking though). This kind of work helps you feel better and gives you time to think. Shoot for three months. By then you'll decide to stay or you will think of a good direction to go.

I'm sorry to hear that your Dad died. Good luck with your "life-style re-orientation" project. I suggest you speak to family and friends to get their views of your strengths and weaknesses, in order to decide what careers might be suitable for you.
