Each organizations has to maintainan apex manual for process requirments as per the ISOframeworks. It is useful in informing external parties on the nature and the kindof operations an unit is engaged in.

Some call it an Quality Manual, the preferance of many is to maintain a series of apex manuals of an organization. As the unit is large, the contextual understanding of individuals is not able to assimilate the complete integratity to a single apex manula and added to this complexity, in the process of growing to an larger organization, each of these end up with a multitude of Apex manuals. So you would have an Quality Manula,HR Manual, Operations Manual, etc...

I prefer to call it a BlueBook.
Its a single comprehensive guide to all aspects of the Buisness the orgaization is into. Its an dyanmic entity and reflects the current standing of the organizations rules and guidelines. A process is one of the parameters of this book.

How do go about it is an easiertask, if one thinks onits usage and its audience.

Before one went about it bycreating Physical files, now with the advent of Sharepoint/ Blogging/ Web, it can be soft copy, maintainable ad reachable to all segments of the organzation.
Security and Infrastruture is the new components that would facilitate its fullest potential. Maybe ITIL veiw point wold add value more after i contact and read about in detail over the next few days.

mmmmmmmmmmhhhhhhhh!! lets do this and see how it affects the concept.
